Questions? Sorted.

Everything riders ask us before they lock in a spot.

Who are Planet MTB tours designed for?+
Mountain bike riders who want an unforgettable riding week without the stress of organising everything themselves. Chasing progression, adventure, epic trails or simply the best week possible on a bike: that's exactly what the trip is built to deliver.
Do I need to be an elite rider to join?+
Definitely not. You don't need to be a racer or pro rider to have an incredible time on these trips. We split the crew into groups by ability, so nobody gets held back and nobody is out of their depth, and optional coaching runs every riding day at no extra cost.
Are flights included?+
Flights are not included. That keeps things flexible: use points, extend your holiday, fly from wherever suits. Once you're in, we send recommended flight times and arrival info to make it seamless.
Do I need to bring my own bike?+
Bring your own, or hire through our local partners at a discounted rate: a Giant Reign SX Park or a Santa Cruz V10 for the trip. We'll help you pick the right option for how you ride.
How does my bike get over there?+
You fly with it, and we strongly recommend a proper bike bag over a cardboard box: baggage handlers have ruined trips before. On arrival your bike goes straight to BroBike Queenstown for a professional build and safety check, and we organise pack-down before you fly home. Your welcome pack covers all the travel tips.
Is the Pro Travel Pack worth it?+
If you don't already own a bike bag: DEFINITELY. You get a brand-new Albek Atlas bike bag (yours to keep) and two fresh Maxxis tyres in your preferred size and tread, at prices you won't find anywhere else. It protects your pride and joy on the flight and lands you in NZ with fresh rubber.
Where do we stay?+
Prime-location, twin-share accommodation in central Queenstown, easy walking distance to everything. Solo travellers are matched with another rider on the tour, couples and groups room together where possible, and single-room upgrades are available if you'd prefer your own space.
Which meals are included?+
Three group dinners, and they're highlights of the trip: the welcome dinner at Pub on Wharf, the LEGENDARY Fergburger, and a celebration steak dinner at Flame Bar & Grill. Breakfasts and lunches are yours, on purpose, so you can explore Queenstown's incredible food scene at your own pace.
Is coaching included?+
Our trips are experience-first, not structured coaching camps. But optional coaching and ride guidance is available throughout the week at no added cost. Chase laps or chase progression, we cater for both.
Can non-riders come on the trip?+
Absolutely. The Non-Rider package covers accommodation, transfers, group dinners and the group activities, while Queenstown fills the riding days: wineries, hot pools, adventure activities and more.
Can under-18s come?+
Riders need to be 13 or older, and anyone under 18 must have a parent or guardian on the trip with them, joining as either a rider or a non-rider.
How do payments work?+
A 20% deposit secures your spot, and the balance isn't due until 30 days before departure. Pay through the secure online checkout, or request an invoice if you'd prefer bank transfer.
Do I need travel insurance?+
Yes, travel insurance is mandatory for everyone on the tour, and it's not included in the price. Bike insurance is worth considering too if your bike is coming with you.
What happens if the weather turns bad?+
The advantage of travelling with experienced local partners is knowing how to adapt. If conditions change, we adjust riding locations, timings and plans. Some of the best riding days happen when you know exactly where to go.
